Okay, it's official. I have assumed all of my dreams. It wasn't but a few months ago I was standing in a clients home when I pointed to a pile of travel magazines and was telling him that writing for one of these was "my dream". Really. My DREAM. What an amazing job. I love to write. I'm a rather quiet person most of the time, and I get most of the pent up excess energy out by writing. When I don't write... I nearly implode. It's a vital necessity for me, being able to channel all of my thoughts somehow. I wish I were a musician and could channel it that way. It's a lot less annoying than chatty Cathy over here [me] being all wordy or in my facebook friends virtual faces.
So, I took my first article from a list. I found out one of my parents neighbors has a regional online travel magazine. SCORE! I get my first official PAID assignment, with a byline! This is great! Fantastic! It's... something for a REAL resume! I'm also having one of my photos published in a local/regional rural water publication. I'm pretty excited about this as well! Being paid for what I love just seems like it's too good to be true. I'm really excited to see what happens in all of this.
